OUR Madrasa
Al Jamiathul Kauzariyya (Kauzariyya) was founded by the Marhoom Zubair Haji, a dedicated individual closely associated with the former leader of Tablighi Jamaat in Kerala, Maulana Moosa (R). In 1973, after embarking on a four-month journey through Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Makkah, and Madinah in the path of Allah, Zubair Haji envisioned his son, Uwais Haji, becoming a Hafizul Qur’an.

Facing the challenge of the scarcity of Quran memorization opportunities in Kerala during that era, Zubair Haji decided to send his son to Madrasa Sabilu Rashad in Bangalore. During the admission process at Madrasa Sabilu Rashad, witnessing the discipline and Islamic way of life among the students sparked a realization in Zubair Haji about the necessity of establishing a similar Madrasa in Kerala.
Zubair Haji, also known for his role as the Managing Director of Mayfield, a footwear company in Ernakulam, took the initiative with the encouragement of Maulana Musa. He acquired land in Edthala near Aluva town and laid the foundation for an Islamic educational institution. Over the years, this institution, now celebrating its 50th anniversary, has evolved into a hub for Islamic education, contributing intellectual leaders to the community.
Aside from its educational mission, Kauzariyya Madrassa actively engages in social, cultural, and educational activities. Serving as an exemplary model for the Muslim community, Kauzariyya Madrassa takes pride in its 50 years of dedicated service, providing 500 retired Ulama and 750 Hafiz as custodians of the Qur’an to the Muslim community. The institution continues to lead in performing good deeds, leaving a lasting impact on society.
