The Legacy of Al Jamiathul Kauzariyya
50 Years of Excellence
The Visionary Beginning
Al Jamiathul Kauzariyya was born from the profound vision of Marhoom Zubair Haji, a dedicated soul who walked the path of faith with sincerity. His deep association with Maulana Moosa (R), the former leader of Tablighi Jamaat in Kerala, played a pivotal role in shaping his spiritual journey.
In 1973, after completing a transformative four-month spiritual journey through the blessed lands of Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Makkah, and Madinah, Zubair Haji returned with a noble dream: to see his son, Uvais Haji, become a Hafizul Qur’an.
The Spark of Inspiration
During that era, opportunities for Quran memorization (Hifz) were scarce in Kerala. This challenge led Zubair Haji to Madrasa Sabilu Rashad in Bangalore for his son’s admission. There, witnessing the exemplary discipline and the authentic Islamic lifestyle of the students sparked a realization: Kerala desperately needed a similar institution to nurture its future generations.
From Vision to Reality
With the heartfelt encouragement of Maulana Moosa (R), Zubair Haji—the then Managing Director of Mayfield Footwear—took the initiative. He acquired land in Edathala, near Aluva, and laid the foundation for what would become a beacon of Islamic learning.
